Approval Workflows

Approval Workflows add governance to large-scale launches, ensuring proper oversight.

How It Works

  1. Configure a threshold (e.g., 20 teams)
  2. When a launch exceeds the threshold, it’s held for approval
  3. Designated approvers review and approve/reject
  4. Once approved, the launch proceeds

Configuration

  1. Open Settings in the Armada panel
  2. Enable Approval Required
  3. Set Threshold: Number of teams that triggers approval
  4. Add Approvers: Users who can approve launches

Approval Process

When a launch requires approval:

  1. Creator sees “Pending Approval” status
  2. Approvers receive notification
  3. Approver reviews:
    • Parent issue details
    • Target teams
    • Campaign scope
  4. Approver clicks Approve or Reject
  5. Creator is notified of decision

Pending Launches

Pending launches are stored until approved:

  • Visible to creator and approvers
  • Can be cancelled by creator
  • Expire after 7 days if not actioned

Best Practices

  1. Set threshold at 20-30 teams
  2. Have 2-3 designated approvers
  3. Document approval criteria
  4. Review and adjust threshold quarterly
